Summary: Explore and learn about local marine wildlife and habitats of Sarasota Bay as you kayak the calm seagrass meadows and mangrove fringed shorelines with a Mote Marine Laboratory scientist. Keep an eye out for dolphins, manatees, birds, and other wildlife. Then kick back to enjoy a dockside lunch with a view of the Bay at The Old Salty Dog. Finish the day with your exclusive, interpretive tour of Mote Marine Laboratory and Save Our Seabirds rescue and rehabilitation center to learn about the exciting work that goes into protecting our marine environment and its inhabitants. This experience is best suited for ages 8 and up.

What to wear: wear clothing that is both quick to dry and provides protection from the sun and sport sandals (like Tevas), because your bottom-half may get wet. You might want to bring a change of clothes. In the winter months, you’ll be happy to have a fleece to layer on and off.
What to bring: personal water bottle, hat, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, pocket-sized binoculars, breathable rain poncho.
